Re: Settings for Radar Theory

Who's got numbers for the Radar Theory?

Course is spelt Course.  Coarse is what you get when you throw sand over wet paint and let it dry.

So calling for some rough textured numbers for the Theory from someone riding the ski in the course?

Re: Settings for Radar Theory

Let me know how you like your Theory.  I am thinking about replacing my HO Charger for wide ride.  I have a best of 4@32 off in wide ride this year without practicing it at all.  I think it could be good training for skiing at my regular speed because as the line shortens I really need good connection to the handle.  If I don't do this I don't have enough speed to get to the ball.

Ya Man, I hear ya. I think it's a great training tool. I would love to get this ski dialed in. So I can get the very most out the ski and if there's any thing left to question or change to improve my performance, -then the ski could be left out of the equation and the rest would all fall on my shoulders!!! (guess I better start working out a little Harder!!!)big_smile  I'll shoot you an e/m...

Re: Settings for Radar Theory

Alright here we go. Start with these numbers and let me know how it rides. Will tweak from there.
6.815
2.490
0.735
7 to 9 degrees for the wing depending on water temp, speed, line length, etc.

Thanx Colin!

Right now I'm sitting @ 6.80,  2.485,  .83  & 7deg.  & neut.  RS-1 bindings

But, My fin DFT bottoms out @ .80  So, .735 is not possible...

At the present I'm good as gold (alright shiny copper!)  on my onside turn & pull...

I'm inconsistant and have trouble getting the ski to initiate the turn easily on my offside.

On both sides, I'm having trouble with acceleration and keeping the ski moving out bound aft. wakes. Its also a bit cumbersome for me to get a real smooth Fluid corners and then a nice fluid "Fall back" into the pull pos.

Let me know whatcha think!smile

Thanx again!

Re: Settings for Radar Theory

I think if your fin bottoms out at .80 then you need a new fin block. That being said run it at the numbers i gave you and your dft at .80 for now. probably will have to tweak the other numbers but let us know how it rides and we will do our best! Good luck and have fun!

O.K. I took the box apart and got it where it will adjust to .735! With respect to this new position, I also moved my bindings back 1 hole. As, I felt they were already on the border of being too far fwd anyway... This is a beast of a ski and it's hard to get or hold an edge . (1 min. and I can always put 'em back if needed..)

I'll keep ya posted. ( but, we've had 4 straight days of rain and approx: 6 more in the forecast!!!)mad

I DID.  -I set the only dft, then I set the only the length then I set only the depth, took a small break and then moved only the bindings! -Ha,ha! big_smilebig_smile
