I'm in Milwaukee this week, we have a meeting with a beer company to potentially be the title sponsor for the pro tour -- Here's my question:
If it a beer sponsor stepped up to the plate to finance the pro tour, would you buy their products more ?
Would you encourage your friends to purchase their products more than other beers?
-or-
Would your beer buying habits remain unchanged ?

I'd support it if it wasn't a lite beer... but that really isn't beer anyways.
Anyone else? Got a meeting tomorrow would really like to know your thoughts on this.

if a beer company would step up and be the sponsor I would support them by buying their products and telling all my friends to do the same. I mean honestly to take on that role would AWESOME for the sport and also worth it... assuming they have a decent product to buy????.
I would support that beer company!!! I am also assuming they are one of the regular national beer companies... Hope it works out for everyone. I know beer companies support other sports. ie NFL, MLB, ect.
I would definitely support that company more...
I'm behind anyone who is willing to step up and help our sport grow!
Sure, but with the number of beers that I drink per year a small impact. In the bigger picture the members of the skiing community are involved with a number of activities and events where beer is served in quantity. Our support of their product and individual influence in getting their beer in these venues is potentially significant

Guessing it's Miller? Either way, I'd be certain to support it!
Ill support them, and drink there beer, where there merchandise, and promote their product as much as possible.
I also agree with JAS, we need to get them at our events. Making the Pro Events (or even smaller tournaments) more of a leisure activity. I mean have you ever been to a baseball game with out beer. Its not nearly as fun.
Let support the sponsors that want to support us.
Support your sport!!
I would definitely support them, heck, we probably are already..it could be perceived that now they are supporting us! This could be a way for the particular beer mfg. to gain additional market share if they get involved with the sport, we are a pretty loyal group..Just my opinion..
Id go out of my way to support them.

IMO, a product like that needs to build the perception of being very Hip & Cool for the folks involved in the sport, Just as Joe Camel did for it's product. Or how most of the Energy drink Co's have captivated the younger crowd by being all over the Hard core adrenaline sports...
These marketing traits all have the same market in mind; -the younger, Hip and up & coming generation. If a Beer company would step up and commit to marketing today for a Bigger tomorrow, I think a lot of very Big and totally good things would come of it for the Company as well as the sport...
Man, I want a 6 pak of what ever CP's drinkin'!!!
P.S. any Beer Co. Cool enough to wanna support our family would in turn have my support!

Yes, I would support and encourage others to support.
Definitely would influence my decision, and I'm a beer snob.
My spending would be influenced by any sponsor of water skiing. It seems like most people in the waterskiing community are really dedicated to the sport and would show their appreciation for sponsors however they can.
I would have to treat my pals to that beer.

back when Rob Shirley w/ MasterCraft brought Coors Light in as the title sponsor, they sold enough product over the 3-days at our stop to pay for their sponsorship! Subsequently, Anheiser Busch stepped up w/ Michelob Dry and Bud Dry as the titles in later years. One of the benefits is that the local distributor reaps benefits as well and works w/ the LOC in co-op advertising that draws people to the event. I've always thought an non-endemic sponsor was best for the sport so as not to drain the resourses of the boat / ski companies. Good luck and keep us posted.
