Hey peeps,
Recently fitted my 07 HO Nitro With Fr and Rr 2010 Animals
My front boot keeps loosening on the rear lace up, anyone else had this problem.
Only loosens after 3 or 4 hard cuts due to pressure on back of boot.
was thinking of putting a wrap around velcro strap around the top of the boot, dont know if this will work or not
See how it goes
Cheers
AZZA
So the cinch is not staying locked? Call HO. It should stay tight. They'll either replace the binding or send you a new Cinch to put on.
yeah the cinch just keeps coming undone. bit nerve racking when you bounce on the wake and your foot lifts off the ski lol.
ill give them a call and see what they can do. Must admit i my last front animal tore the finger holes out and i thought they wouldnt be able to do anything under warranty but HO was awesome, didnt even question it a single bit, sent me a whole new boot. Awesome product and aftersales service
Nix the velcro idea. That will likely keep the ankle of the boot from expanding when you fall, making it too hard to release. The cinch is not working properly, and HO will certainly take care of that for you. In the mean time you can tie a stopper knot, of one kind or another, and get along just fine.

A figure 8 would be a goot example. Really just anything that will hold the tightened lace. Now that I think of it, a slippery knot would be better. I'm on my phone so I can't track down links very well. Google "tie a daisy chain" or "chain knot". It's just an overhand on a bight (a knot tied with a loop instead of one strand)

thanks mate, just gave it a go then and went for a free ski, worked gr8, cheers for the input, have to wait till monday to ring HO but until then the knot works gr8..
Your wraps might be a little too loose as it is. I've been running an Animal for years and I typically hardly (if at all) tighten the laces. There should still be plenty of snug-ness in the binding even with the laces totally slack.
