Glad to see that it's going down. Dana Reed has put in a ton of work than I did with this event though, he and his crew deserve all the credit!

As an aside I'll also be in Milwaukee this Saturday for the first annual Milwaukee Brewfest if anybody will be in town a little early- it'd be great to meet up if that's the case.

Can't wait. While the last Open in SE Wisconsin was obviously marred by Dr. Mini-course, it was still a phenomenal time. This one should be even better with such a hip location.
Looks like Ill be in the house all weekend watching my computer all weekend. COOL. Good Luck Guys.
With what could be the coolest waterski event ever right around the corner it seems like there should be more discussion and buzz about this. No?
What is the date, time, and exact location? I did a Google search and looked around a bit but can't find anything. Probably just me.
Thanks
Garrett
The water is finally warm in NEPA
Very excited for this event, I'll be down there all weekend for it. Good luck to my friend Tyler Lorenz in his inaugural pro tournament. Congrats on making it to this level!
Go to www.theproskitour.com for the date, time, and running order. Location is at Veteran's Park

I'll be there starting around 9 am tomorrow. Planning on sticking around most of the day. Got a new telephoto lens to try out during the qualifying rounds. Should be a gorgeous day down by the lake!
What a Week. The junior worlds and the Malibu Open. This should be a very fun weekend

Marcus Brown will also be updating throughout the day on twitter. I wish I could go... Global was so much fun and this sounds like it is going to be even better, but I am stuck remodeling a basement this weekend
JB the current leader with a sweet 2@41 after fighting his way through a rolly 39. Unreal!
So what is the story with the finals controversy?
I was not there but from twitter and posts on www.ballofspray.com/vanillaforum/commen … amp;page=1 this is what I think happened. FYI, In the finlas they are were not running 36 mph, there were going 35.5 mph.
In the finals Jamie goes out first and runs 39', will runs 4 @ 39'. Jamie wins but 5-10 minutes later after Jamie has already had a celebratory beverage they tell Jamie he needs to go back out becasue Will had a slow boat speed, slower than the slow speed they were all ready runnning! Jamie refuses to go back out, Will goes out and runs 39' then 1 @ 41' for the win.

Why were they running 35.5?
Edit: Just read on ballofspray why.
There was also a really good point brought up, I forget by who, but there are bad calls and human errors made all the time in other professional sports. A good example is in baseball.. the strike zone is different for practically every umpire and even they can't keep it the exact same. Also is the NFL bad calls are made by the game and which is why the instituted replay which has its advantages and disadvantages. Replay in the NFL is kinda like checking times with speed controls in boats. I think we are just so used to and comfortable with having everything be perfect which is great that standards are so high and the boat drivers and judges can hold to those standards. But mistakes do happen and at least we have ways to correct the. I just wish it wouldn't have happened so much later after JB got done, because I would think there would have been less controversy.
