Hi Chris, how's the foot? All my buds say physical therapy is key. I got some great settings for my 66" MPD, could you reccomend a rear binding placement? Thanks.
Hi Chris,
Sorry to hear about your leg, hope it heals quickly! Noticed you are only giving a back boot placement, why no mention of the front?
I've got 8.5 feet and you got me set up with a gap between front and back which on a 67" RS-1 puts me at 29.25 front and 17.25 rear. Can you explain a bit?
Crdickey,
I recommend setting your back foot to my settings and keeping your spacing between feet the same way you have always skied. Do not even look at where your front foot is placed as I feel that the back foot is more important, especially for skiers with small feet. When I have skied on a 67" ski, I always run 17" to my rear foot. On a 66, I run 16 5/8", no matter what the ski, so far.
Thanks for the numbers, that setup is MUI BUENO, hope you recover quickly and back on the water soon

Milkman (I feel compelled to call you by your login name as it is so much more fun than Gary),
Glad you like them.

I just received my 68" RS-1 this week-end and set it up to Chris' numbers. Works well - after three sets I feel no need to change them. Thanks Chris! For other impressions of mine on the ski, see http://ballofspray.com/vanillaforum/com … amp;page=1
Chris, I am going to be the owner of a 68" RS-1 w/RS bindings. In the pasted when I got my Monzas from the HO factory I really didn't have to change the settings.(thanks to Ed) Should my new ski be the same? Roger Pelletier
Eddie still sets them up so you should be dialed. If not, try the setings above for the 68" RS1.
Chris
Here's the dealio!
I'm having some major issues with my slalom, so I'm trying to re-dial my ski.
I'm 165lbs, 6,1' and riding a 66" RS-1 with double RS-1 boots size 10. any suggestions?
Johan
What line lengths and speeds are you skiing at? What settings have you been running? Are you right or left foot forward? What do you feel while skiing your current settings? Where are you skiing? These things should help me get a better picture of whats going on.
Chris
I'm a lefty going 36mph and ussually get into 38-39 off, havn't been in too 39 in a while though.
Right now I'm having trouble at even 32 & 35(!) it feels like I'm getting really narrow and just turn really hard right at the bouy.
