I am a right foot forward skier, and when pulling accross the wake from the left to the right, I get a bunch of slack before the turn. Am I pulling too hard, and stretching the rope too much, or am I doing something weird?
If it matters, this is while I am free-skiing, and started after I switched to a HO Triumph ski.
Just sounds like pulling too long. Change edges a bit sooner
The Triumph is probably carrying more speed past the wake than you're used to. Same thing happened to me when I tried out the Triumph last year. You'll get used to it- it may just take a couple sets.
You are pulling too long after second wake. Put the ski on the edge to slow down.Remember to keep your knees and ankles slightly bent and your chest up.
definately pulling too long
think about coming off the second wake and using your core to almost squeeze to drive your ski outbound. this will allow the ski to ride out from under you in control
1) The triumph is a big ski. It carries more speed after the wake. Thanks Joel.
2) You are probably pulling too long. Thanks Chuck, Justin and davmakto!
3) Relax and dont pull so hard!
Way to go gang!

Thanks for all of the feedback. Now if we can only get some nice weather, I'll be able to get my boat out and see what I can do. :-)
