Skiing Style: I am not one to fight forces. I usually flow with them.
Coaching Style: An open line of communication between skier and coach.
With 10 years of coaching experience, Tom understands how proper body movements relate to efficiency in skiing. Every skier certainly has there own style and technique, but one thing that all skiers should share is a goal of efficiency throughout the course. Tom has the ability to break down the technical aspects of skiing into simple easy to understand terms. Starting first with a fundamental understanding of what skiing actually is, then building from that solid foundation steps at a time. Tom also focuses on off the water training as well. As athletes we need to train like one on and off the water. That includes proper diet and nutrition as well as cross training off the water. The better overall athlete you can be, the better skier you will become. Whatever you goals may be Tom can help you achieve them. If you are unsure of your goals he can help you find them. Whatever the case may be you can be assured that your time on the water will become more enjoyable.
I started waterskiing at the age of six on a public lake. By the time I was 10 I was looking up to the other skiers across the lake who were making really big spray. From that moment I was hooked and all I wanted to do was ski. Skiing has followed my life and shaped me into the person I am today. It has taught me so many things on and off the water, without skiing I would be a completely different person today. I am excited to keep pushing myself in the sport to see how far I can go.
